Located near East 7th in central Austin, Tishna accepts BCBS PPO and works with individual adults and adolescents seeking healing from anxiety, depression, trauma, self-criticism, and existential concerns. Jenny is located in Westlake and is an experienced trauma and relationship specialist as well as a registered yoga teacher who utilizes an attuned mind/body approach with a range of holistic modalities such as mindfulness, somatic experiencing, and spiritual guidance. 

Karen Burke

Karen is located in Round Rock and specializes in working with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and or recovering from trauma. She utilizes CBT, DBT, Brainspotting, and Thought Field Therapy methodologies as part of her approach. 

Emma Forsyth

Based in north central Austin (near Highland mall) and Cedar Park, Emma is a warm and sincere therapist working with individuals (children, teens, adults, couples, and families from an attachment-based lens. She is also trained in therapeutic parenting and parent/child relationship skills.

Cat is located off Mopac at Austin Relational Wellness and primarily works with young adults and couples.  I went to school with Cat and have witnessed her innate ability to deeply tune in and be with others on their journey toward healing. Cat is also skilled with using the Enneagram to heighten understanding of ourselves and our relationships. 

Steve Cheney

M.A., NCC, LPC-Intern
Steve is located at the Austin Center for Therapy & Assessment off Brodie Ln. and is supervised by Professor John L. Garcia, Ed.D., LPC-S. Known for his down-to-earth, compassionate and humorous approach, Steve works with clients 12 and up with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and chronic illness. Steve offers a sliding scale and weekend availability. 

David Schlosz

LPC Intern
David is an LPC Intern supervised by Josh Krueger McAdams LPC-S. He is skilled and passionate with working with adolescents and adults on a variety of issues including general men's issues, spirituality, loneliness, and trauma. Originally from South Africa, David believes in the philosophy of "Ubuntu" (in being known, I know myself)  as part of his therapeutic approach.

Yoga with Adriene

Yoga Teacher
Though you can drop into one of Adriene's local Austin classes, you can practice with her for free on YouTube. She's genuine, relatable, and knows her stuff. Start with a series or one of the specific videos such as "Yoga for Anxiety" or "Yoga for a Broken Heart". 

The Christi Center

Grief Counseling & Groups
The Christi Center has Austin and Georgetown locations and offers free processing groups for children, teens, and adults who are experiencing grief. A calendar of groups, retreats, and events can be found on their website. 

Austin Oriental Medicine & Acupuncture

Acupuncture and Bodywork
AOMA is a great resource for an alternative to western medicine. Many people find acupuncture and herbs to be helpful for a variety of issues and AOMA offers affordable options to the community through their supervised student clinic.
